Type: HSV200
Version: 6000
Software: CR0D63xc3p-6000

Storage Capacity
Total: 1557.65 GB

Hi!, I need to add more capacity to my system.
I have one enclosure with 14 disks (146.8GB each one).
I want to know what is the most reasonable and reliable way to upgrade my storage capacity.
Thanks in advance.

SolutionOption 1: Upgrade disks to higher capacity drives.
Issues: May require a firmware upgrade. May take longer to realize the full potential of the upgrade as you need to swap out disks one at a time.
Option 2: Add a second Drive Shelf.
Issues: Easy to do if you have space, double your current capacity with same size drives, more flexibility to upgrade to higher capacity disks.
So, it really comes down to 2 things..
1. Do you have space to add a disk shelf?
2. how much more space do you "need"?

Re: EVA4000 - Need to add more storage capacity.
There's one more thing that I can't see very clear... If I add one more disk shelf... I could use all the 28 disk bays for disks or just only 24?
