EVA4100 + 4 sanswitches
I have 4 x brocade 4/12 c-class sanswitches
In each fabric I have 2 switches 1 in each C7000 enclosure. Is it supported to put 1 path of the EVA4100 on each sanswitch?? Or must I put the EVA connections on the same sanswitch.
Where can I found some info over this?
K

Re: EVA4100 + 4 sanswitches
Hi,
here in the SAN DESIGN guide you can see the supported configuration from page of 267:
http://search.hp.com/query.html?lang=en&search=++&qt=san+design+guide&la=en&cc=us&charset=utf-8
if you have e.g. 4 Switches in the fabric (2 in each) and you have local and remote switch in the fabric, then you should connect the EVA FC front ports into the local switches of both fabrics.

the pain is one part of the reality

Re: EVA4100 + 4 sanswitches
Hello K,
You need to connect FP1 of both the controllers to one fabric and FP2 to other fabric. You can connect FP ports to any of the switches in fabric but need to follow above rule. refer below link. In the link provided each fabric has single switch.
