Hi all,
I am new to the storage side and to EVA4100 devices.
I need to expand an existing vdisk and I was wondering if it can be done online and with no data loss fom CommandView ?
From all the doc I gathered for the EVA4100 I cant find anything related to that subject.
Is it safe to do it or not at all ? Could you point me to the correct documentation ?
Also and in relation to the vdisk expansion, what is the maximum size limit of a vdisk ? At the moment the vdisk has a capacity of 2TB and need to add an additional 2TB to it ....
Same as for the expansion, would someone know if it is possible or could point me to the documentation ?
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Thierry

SolutionYes, you can expand vdisk online in the EVA without any problem. However you should also check if the host OS supports the expansion of the LUN (though most OS supports it).
Lun size limitation is explained the compatability reference which is available from previous post.
