We are trying to implement BC on EVA84000 and RHEL 5.x for daily Snaps/testing, I have installed RSM Server and Host agents. My Question is once we Customised and Saved the RSM Job Scripts for BC/CA how can we trigger/run from the Host side when they want to start the RSM scripts?
As our client dont want to run the scripts from RSM automatically and want to run whenever dba/sysadmins thinks its safe and no I/O activity?
Please Advice
Thanks

Re: EVA8400 BC/CA RSM Jobs Triggering from Host Side?
I could be wrong, but i'm quite sure you cant execute it directly from the host agent.
The host agent is primarily for executing parts of the job (e.g. mount disks, do quescing etc..) and the RSM server executes various other tasks - doing the actual snapshot on the array via commandview...

Re: EVA8400 BC/CA RSM Jobs Triggering from Host Side?
What i understood is, we can run the RSM Job Scripts from only from RSM Server by scheduling and can't trigger from the host ?
But, when i contacted HP EVA Support they said we can run RSM Jobs from Crontab! I just want to make sure with someone who already implemented before i am making my testplan!
Is anyone else can help me out..
Thanks
