Eva 4000
I have two eva4000 controllers. The battery on one unit went faulty so we replaced and every thing was ok. As both controllers were the same age we replaced the other battery a few days later. Now we have a battery fault on the second controller and will not charge. Is there any way to fail the second battery and reseat it.
Thanks Geoff

Re: Eva 4000
If you are on old fw level, you need to shut down the controller for battery replacement, I have seen it fail on xcs 5110
If you are on 5110 or older, You must shutdown the controller.
Later versions, you do it hot.
When I replace battries hot, I use the following procedure:
Open command view.
Browse down to the failed battery.
Remove failed battery.
Go back to CV.
Waite untill CV say battery not installed.
Then I install the new battery.
So beware of fw rev. and take your time.
Failure to do so, may fail the new battery, and it may become unuseable.

Re: Eva 4000
I replaced the battery and it fixed the problem.I think its best to wait until you have failed item before replacing anything.
Thank you all for your help
