Re: Eva 4400 One controller become invisible from COmmand view EVA
Screenshot says it's an HSV200. This is not an EVA4400.
From screenshot it looks like there is only one controller. What happened to the other one? How is the server connected? Via a switch? Is the server zoned to both?
Latest XCS is 6250, are you running an old version of CV too?
When the EVA becomes invisible from CV - can you still see it via "cvutil paths" and can servers still see their disks?

Re: Eva 4400 One controller become invisible from COmmand view EVA
The controller model is HSV200 & storage model is EVA 4400 only.
The controller become invisible automatically from EVA. The server is connected via SAN Switch.
XCS is self upgradable or we need support from HP. If yes where i can download.
Yesterday it become invisible and where to run the "cvutil paths" command.

Re: Eva 4400 One controller become invisible from COmmand view EVA
Nothing in front panel?
How about all the LEDs in front and back compared to the working controller?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Eva 4400 One controller become invisible from COmmand view EVA
XCS can be downloaded from software.hp.com - it is a bit tricky though. You might need to upgrade Command View as well. Read the Updating Products Software Guide and release notes carefully.
cvutil.exe comes with command view it should be installed in the same directory as cv.
"controller becomes invisible from EVA" - what do you mean? Invisible from the Command View?

Re: Eva 4400 One controller become invisible from COmmand view EVA
When it's invisible you can then check cvutil or the SAN-switch and see if the missing EVA controller is visible there. If controller is not visible in switch then it means your server is probably OK. Check portstats on the switch-sides.
