Re: Eva Failure - reconstruction

I suggest to wait until the reconstruction has finished before inserting the new disk.

Hope this helps!

Re: Eva Failure - reconstruction

Reconstruction means eva is recovering or rebuilding the data. why this happens ?? i have not seen this error message onmy other eva.
is it recovering the data ?
why cant we replace the disk while reconstruction happens

Re: Eva Failure - reconstruction

The manual says about reconstructing:

"The process of regenerating the contents of a failed member data. The reconstruction process writes the data to a spare set disk and incorporates the spare set disk into the mirrorset, striped mirrorset or RAID set from which the failed member came."

Hope this helps!

Re: Eva Failure - reconstruction

Reconstruction means that EVA firmware is getting the failed data from RAID information, don't remove the failed disk until reconstruction finish.
