Excessive time outs

Hi guys:
I have an EVA 8000, XCS 6.11. In past days I have noted that when I delete a virtual disk I get the following warning messages:
"An exchange sent to a physical disk drive or another HSV210 controller via the mirror port or a Fibre Channel port has timed out". I think it isn't a normal behavior. Any idea???
Greetings
Oscar

No, it is not normal behavior.

You don't have slow & cold FATAl disk drives, do you?

-c01728298 - ADVISORY: HP StorageWorks FATA drive at 18 Celsius/64 Fahrenheit or colder enters a read-after-write (RAW) state, which can cause performance problems and drive errors

Re: Excessive time outs

it could be a few things, if you look at the log entries you can see if the physical target is always on the same port / disk / enclosure and then identify the culprit. I've seen this when a single disk in a group has an iffy port and also when a duff SFP on a mirror port was used.
