Expanding Volume in SAN

Hello Support,

We are going to expand the unused space of LUN (MSA2012fc).
We have some queries -

1. Current size of Volume 600GB. going to expand more 600GB. how much time it will take?
2. What precaution should be taken before starting the activity?
3. Can we stop the process in between?

Hello,

the time for expansion depends on two vars: Load and number of disks. I recommend 15 GB per hour for calculation. You should do the expansion in a time frame with minimal load and you can' stop the expansion while it's running.

I'm a noob with SAN's so if I want to expand the volume for the sever below, do I just go to Tools - Expand Volume and use the slide bar to increase?
