Re: FCOE SAN
You can't get that with 4 Gb and it won't be cheap.
FCOE (Fibre Channel Over Ethernet) is (in my opinion) a clever marketing thing, but it means you need to have a complete new 10 GigaBit ethernet infrastructure (CEE) which is NOT compatible with the traditional ethernet. Then you can run IP and FC protocol over that (C)onverged (E)nhanced (E)thernet.

Re: FCOE SAN
Hello Chris,
you have to buy a 10 GbE infrastructure, but it must be capable for 10 GbE. As Uwe already said: Converged Enhanced Ethernet (CEE) isn't compatible to the traditional ethernet, so if you really want to use it for you normal LAN traffic, you have to buy some new switches. If you only want to use it for storage, it's blown money.
Regards,
Patrick
