Failed redundant path on MSA1500 controller after FW upgrade

Hi,

I have upgraded MSA1500 FW to v7.10 and after the upgrade am facing the below error.

409 MSA1500 CS in SGA061701K has a failed redundancy path.

anyone has any idea

Hello,

is this an error that is on the LCD of one controller?? Have you tried to power-cycle the MSA?

I witnessed this error on ACU, and i power cycled the MSA after the firmware upgrade

are both fibre uplinks okay? Are both uplinks of you Server which is running ACU okay?

Jep, this is it. The A/A firmware needs two controllers. If you have only one controller, you have to use the A/P firmware.

Hi Paterick,

I have dual controllers and you are right the firmware is for A/A controller configuration.

From your replies what i understood is, if i put one more HBA in my server and connect it to the other controller the redundancy error will be removed. right?

you're right. On a server with two HBAs the message shouldn't appear.

I don't have a HBA card with me presently, so am closing the thread and will try this once i have the hba with me
