Fijitsu Siemens servers & EVA

Is out there any experience with:
- Fujitsu Siemens ULTRASPARC Solaris 9 box (PrimePower 250 & 450)
- Brocade 4100 Switch
- HP EVA 4000

That combination seem to be supported but I'd like to know the HBA model & brand to use.

The customer has a GP70F-CF34 part (FC HBA 2Gb dual port) but I can't find what is it (Emulex or Qlogic).

Hi,
supported FC HBA for solaris is FCA2257P. It is a 2Gb OEM Qlogic 2310F.

You have to ask FUSI what HBA it actually is!

Find below all HP supported HBAs for FUSI Servers with Solaris 9 and EVA4000:

Emulex
LP10000
LP10000DC
LP11000
LP11002

QLogic
QLA2310F
QLA2342

HP branded
FCA2257P = Qlogoic QLA2310F

For multipathing support, driver etc. ask your HP representative (or come back).

I have the support info from HP and it reads regarding the FCA2257P:

"Qlogic HBAs are supported with FSC servers on Project Release only."

This restriction are not with the Emulex HBA:
LP1000, LP11000
(Read the Peter entry)

Second issue: multipath
In the streams tables say that Sun HBAs are not supported whith Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC), thus ... no MPxIO chance.

So, the only way to go seems Veritas DMP, that support all the platform available HBA's.

In this case FSC is not very cooperative. Their web is pathetic and I can't contact any one that answer the phone :-(

Do you all foresee other alternatives ??
