Filer - CIFS for HP EVA 6400

we have two HP EVA's. we would like to present CIFS shares for file servers ?

Is there a module? for this?

Hi,

For the EVA6400 there are only fibre channel ports.

The way I see this to be done is to present the vdisks from the EVA to something else, and then this something else present CIFS shares.

The "module" that the EVA6400 quickspecs mention can do CIFS is an "EVA File Services".

I haven't seen this EVA File Services before so don't know how well it would work in comparison to setting up your own Windows/CIFS server/cluster that have LUNs from the EVA.
