Firmware Upgrade ???'s

Hi:

Am looking for assistance with upgrading an EVA4000. I hve  the following

CV - 6.0.2

HSV200 controller - CROECAXC3p-6110

ARRAY - 6110

DISK - HP04

From what I have found out I should upgrade CV then controllers then the disks. I have donwloaded

HDDBundled_Image_2010_08_27 (1).zip..............  HP07 (for the disks)

XCS_HSV200_210_Media_v6.250_T4256-10048 (1).ISO........ for the controllers

For CV though it seems I cannot get a free upgrade, only a 60 day trial.

When I tried to do a code load with the version of CV I have it requires a .SSS file for the firmware but the file is a .ISO.

Can anyone shed some light on this on where I need to go to get this this done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Firmware Upgrade ???'s

I did resolve the .iso issue, just needed the right software to extract the .sss file :). However the CV download states that the trial is for 60 days in a prod. env. This is a development environment, anyone know how limited the software is after the 60 days.

Re: Firmware Upgrade ???'s

Hi

Your EVA will still work after 60 days but you will not be able to create anything only delete.

You can always install a new command view server when you need it.

Re: Firmware Upgrade ???'s

The latest disk firmware file is HDDBundled_FC_Image_2012_08_17.zip You need minimum CV 9.4 or better 9.4.1 to manage the EVA, so you should contact HP in order to get a license. Since you probaby cannot get this version for download, consider to use CV 10.2.

Hope this helps!

Re: Firmware Upgrade ???'s

All the downloads (CV and Firmware) are ISOs, so consider to burn them, mount them or extract them (e.g. 7zip).

Hope this helps!
