Firmware upgrade on MSA1510i, MSA 20 & MSA30

I am a newe for MSA1510i MSA 20 & MSA30. I setup a MSA1510i which are connected to 2 MSA 20 (1 old and 1 new) and 1 MSA 30 (old). Unfortunately, MSA1510i is unable recogzine the 1T disk with new MSA20. After searching from HP forum, the firmeware of MSA1510i need to be upgrade.

I have some questions between firmware upgrade

1. How to check the firmware version of MSA20 & MSA30?

2. Because old MSA20 & MSA 30 are running for long time. Many critical datas are stored in these 2 MSA20 & MSA30. Do I need to upgrade them in same time?

3. All current config will be keep it after firmware upgrade?

4. If no, how to backup all config before upgrade?

hi,

use show box in the cli to get the msa20/30 firmware versions, check release notes to see whether enclosures require updating prior to storage controllers, all info regarding firmware upgrade procudure is in the user guide both here :-
