Force Enabe Write Cache

Hello Folks,

Can it be force enable write cache on blades with the battery in a failed state? If yes, what is the risk in implementing this ?

Thx.

Can it be? No idea. You said nothing about what servers and storage models you are asking about. Or even makes.

All of which is immaterial. A battery is in a failed state and the system has changed from write cache to write through, dropping from cache speed to hard drive speed. The system is protecting you. Forcing it back to a write cache mode would be putting your data at risk of loss. And possibly your employment.

Quit fooling around and replace the battery.
