G-port on EVA4400 HSV300-S after FabOS upgrade

Having 2x EVA4400 with HSV300-S controllers

Running V6.3.0b and updated to V6.3.1a.
One of the internal ports of the EVA4400 appears to be switched to a G-port instead of F/E port.

Any thoughts?

Were there any changes made to the switches? Check the port where this G-port is connected at the switch and ensure that it is ENABLED and that the PERSISTENT ENABLE is turned on.

If the switch ports look fine. You may want to try this.

Have you rebooted each controller after the upgrade? If the EVA can be shut down, then I would recommend that you do an orderly shutdown/power down. The restart everything and see if that helps.

Re: G-port on EVA4400 HSV300-S after FabOS upgrade

Thx for your answers.

The issue we saw was related to a failed login of the port during/after the upgrade.

The upgrade was an online upgrade but the ports are going offline/online and there it went wrong for one of the ports.

Unfortantely we have internal switches in the EVA controllers so pulling the cable was not an option.

We disabled/enabled the port and it logged in again...

Luckily...

Disable/enable port forced relogin.
