Hey all new guy here.
My questions are can I attach the console cable directly to the back of the MSA20 and using Putty or Hyperterminal determine the firmware level? Or do you have to go through the controller?

Re: Gather firmware info directly from MSA20 enclosure?
This is the serial output during boot, I guess you can get a similar information even during runtime:

HP Array Controller Firmware
FW=2.10, Bld=0xA602, BB=0.30, SMGR=2.12, SMGR(T)=1.14, SATA_MNGR=8.2 CPLD=9
...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Gather firmware info directly from MSA20 enclosure?
So are you saying I can attach a laptop and get a terminal session going directly to the enclosure?
