HBA LED Power on after firmware initialization
I have a QLogic HBA (AB379) PCI-X 2.0 4Gb FC inserted into an rx6600 server. I am not able to see the HBA on the server. The lights (Yellow, Green, Amber) are all flashing together. Looking at the LED scheme it means "Power on after firmware initialization". But what does that mean?? Does the firmware need to be updated, or something else? Please help me understand what this means.
Thanks,
Dima

Re: HBA LED Power on after firmware initialization
Please post
# ioscan -fn
and tell the slot where the HBA is installed.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

What is interesting is I plugged some different cables into the HBA and the lights stopped blinking and now have the Yellow light steadily on (which I think means its getting a 8gb connection). So does taht mean that this was simply a cable problem? The LED description of "Power on after firmware initialization" was confusing to me...

Re: HBA LED Power on after firmware initialization
According to the installation manual, it was waiting for a link up, so the cable was proabably the issue.

Hope this helps.
