HP 2/26 EL Zone and Alias disappearing

I'm having a strange issue with some HP 2/16EL switches. I add a zone and an alias for a Proliant server with FC2142sr hba's running server 2008. An eva 4400 has also been connected to the fabric.

- All WWN are visible on the fabric
- Switches have been updated to 3.2.1c
-Switches have been restarted numerous times full and fast.

The switches are EOL and un supported so im not expecting hp or brocade to be much help if anyone has any ideas?

Don't know what you mean with "disappearing", but to make use of the zone you need to add it to the current configuration with 'cfgadd' and then re-enable that configuration with 'cfgenable'.

Its a bit bizarre,

I create the alias
Add the WWN of host
Create the zone
Add the zone to the config
Save and enable
All is now working
2 - 3 days later there gone. but if i reboot the switch they re appear
