HP ACU

Hi,

We are using HP Array Configuration Utility ver 8.0.14.0, is this tool meant for HP Proliant storage systems? if not then please let me know Proliant storage systems needs which software?

The ACU should bve sufficient for configuring attached Arrays and MSA20/50 etc. If you are looking at MSA2000 or EVAs then they will come with the correct software to setup your RAID configs.

They have a builtin web interface to configure the storage and it is called the ASM (All-in-one Storage Manager). These storage servers use the standard SA raid controllers and a windows OS but you do NOT interact directly with the controllers or the disks. They are storage appliances that come preinstalled and that's how you use them, you see and configure the storage as NAS or CIFS or NFS or iSCSI.
