HP B-series 8/24c BladeSystem SAN Switch
We are in the process of installing the new SAN Switch- [C2-1001], 11, CHASSIS, ERROR, SW5480, Port 20 port faulted due to SFP validation failure. Please check if the SFP is valid for the configuration.
Can somebody throw light to this issue
Regards,
Pram

Re: HP B-series 8/24c BladeSystem SAN Switch
So as already advised, physically reseat the sfp. If you still have the error contact the HP SAN Switch team and have the Brocade SupportShow output available.
Thanks!

Re: HP B-series 8/24c BladeSystem SAN Switch
We have isolated this issue out, it's a SFP compatibility issue with 8GB SAN Switch, the 4GB SFPs are the ones which are giving the port validation errors, but if i install the 8GB SFPs there is no issue.
