Re: HP COMMAND VIEW 9.3 NO LOGGIN
a.system running cveva has a valid IP address
b.Path variable in windows should include the directory "c:\windows\system32"
Please let me know how it goes.

Re: HP COMMAND VIEW 9.3 NO LOGGIN
1. Set the correct IP address of the SMA in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host .
2. Go to C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\ and Delete XFROOT folder.
3. Go to C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\XF in CLI prompt and Run install.bat C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\XFROOT
4. Start HP Infrastructure Management service from C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\XF\bin\win-32>XfAppMgr register
XFSecurity.cfg
You can start the service now.
net start xf

Re: HP COMMAND VIEW 9.3 NO LOGGIN
I faced exactly the same problem few days back , we tried the medthod mentionedin the thread and the solution suggested by Prakash.
the solution that worked for us was to
1)make sure the machne hosting the Cv EVA is connected to n/w.
2)remove the alredy installed CV eva , it will fail to remove 2 directories , it's ok , as these will contain your previous liscenses.
3)Reinstall the Cv eva .\

Re: HP COMMAND VIEW 9.3 NO LOGGIN
Thanks to all!!!
The Command View OS are installed in Spanish, the 9.3 version only supported Inglish or Japanese.
I don├В┬┤t change Spanish version OS, I├В┬┤m Install 9.2 version and work fine all.

Re: HP COMMAND VIEW 9.3 NO LOGGIN
today, I had upgraded from 9.21 an had the same error. The problem was:
The service "HP MIF" (whatever it is) failed to launch. After I had read this thread, I found the reason: the folder Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\XFROOT contain a mystify NTFS ACL. Simply add "system" and "Administrators" with full control, inherited this to all subfolder, kill the process "xf.exe" an restart the service "HP MIF".
Now, you can logon.

Re: HP COMMAND VIEW 9.3 NO LOGGIN
this was not the solution, because after Ih had restartet the server, the NTFS ACL of "XFROOT" is wrong again an the service "HP MIF" hang at startup.
Who is changing the NTFS ACL ????
