HP EVA P6000 LUNs not present
We have 3 LUNs created and presented to 1 linux server. But after a few times of restarting the Linux server, we still cannot found it using fdisk -l
The 3 LUNs are under a replication group from PROD to DR. The 3 LUNs are in DR.
As part of troubleshooting, we created a new LUN and present to the same Linux, once Linux is restarted, we can found it.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: HP EVA P6000 LUNs not present
Hi
Luns in DR are write protected and it's not good to use them
but you can create a snapshot and present it to your server
Regards

Re: HP EVA P6000 LUNs not present
Actually, we have
1. Failover and suspend in DR replicate group
2. Present the 3 LUNs to Linux
3. Reboot Linux
4. Create a new LUN in DR
5. Reboot Linux
6. The newly created one can be found
To use the DR LUNs, do we need to create a snapcopy of all the LUNs? And after we mount them, perform the testing, can we delete it?
Thanks.

Re: HP EVA P6000 LUNs not present
hi
you are not clear what your problem is.
as I said destination LUNs in DR are write protected so if you want to test them
the best way is to create a snapshot of the LUN present to your server and work on the snapshot.
when you finish your test you can delete the snapshot.
