HP EVA3000 - Controller Cache battery

Hi,
I am using HP EVA 3000 in my environment

We are getting an amber light for the cache batteries of controller A , for which we are going to replace the same.

My query is

1) Whether the operations (read/write) will be caried out by controller A or controller B till the battery gets replaced

2) if the opeartions are taken by controller B,will the performance gets affected.

Tnaks in advance

regards,
dhiyan

Re: HP EVA3000 - Controller Cache battery

For EVA3k this may be different and depending on firmware version (a/a vs. a/p), but on later arrays all operations will be done by the other controller.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP EVA3000 - Controller Cache battery

In command view go to virtual disks -> (select one) -> presentation and read the Managing controller: value.

Hope this helps!
