Re: HP Hard disks

Yes. Each disk drive will just rotate at its specified speed.

yes,
and overall performance will be as with 10K drives.

Re: HP Hard disks

As usual, the 'performance' depends on a number of conditions.

For example, there are RAID controllers that do reads from the first RAID-1 member as long as no I/O queue builds up. If the 15kRPM disk is the first one, response times will be better in some situations.
Then there are controllers that do round-robin. So half of the read I/Os are returned slightly faster because a 15kRPM disk has a lower rotational delay.

Re: HP Hard disks

Hi Guys
I have a problem which is giving me all sorts of problems.

I want to convert or downgrade the HP StorageWorks LTO 3 Ultrium 920 SAS internal tape drive (EH847A) to work as HP StorageWorks LTO-3 Ultrium 920 SCSI Internal Tape (EH841). I have the scsi cable and rack mount kits with me .Please help how i can do it . I am under pressure as we ordered sas instead of scsi and can`t return it back to the supplier
