HP MSA2000i Standard to Master Volume Conversion
Hi,
What caveats (if any) exist in relation to converting a standard volume to a master volume (in order to take snapshots)?
We currently have a standard volume presented to a Red Hat Cluster that homes the virtual disks for Xen VMs.
Is there any risk to the data contained within the volume? Should I shut down the cluster (ensuring no open handles exist on the volume) before executing the convert command?
Any information about this process would be greatly apprectiated.
Thank you,
Pete
