HP P6000 Command View blank Screen

Hello everybody,

we are facing a huge issue at the moment.

We have a HP P6350 storage (I know it`s really old....) and we try to access the HP P6000 Command View.

I was able to access the "HP P6000 Control Panel" but when I try to Launch HP P6000 Command View I cannot see any menue / storage (see screenshot below).

I tried several computers, browsers, flash player versions etc.

Please any idea? Thanks.

Hi

you know that command view uses acrobat flash-player that is not supported any more

are you sure this is not flash-plyer problem?

did it work before?

you have to create a windows machine with acrobat flash-player just for this.

Re: HP P6000 Command View blank Screen

Yeah we know that this is using Flash Player which is not supported anymore.

When we try to access we can see the login and the Flash Player loading screen. After that we receive the blank menue like on the screenshot. So it doesnt seem to be a Flash issue.

I tried several clients (I reactivated also some old clients with Windows XP and old IE and flashplayer to test it). But on all clients the same issue: Control Panel is working, Command View not.

Any possibility to access the command view via telnet or similar? I have really no idea anymore

Re: HP P6000 Command View blank Screen

Finally it`s working again.

Maybe someone have also an similar issue. Our solution was:

.) Upgrade Management Modul (we reinstalled last version)

.) Change Port from 2374 to another one and changed it back

.) Management Modul reboot

.) done

Thanks all for your help.

Re: HP P6000 Command View blank Screen

I am still using Command View EVA 10.3 to manage our EVA in 2022 with the Flash GUI.

  • Firefox Portable 34.05 (or something in that major version release) as this won't complain its out of date.
  • Get a hold of NPSWF32_19_0_0_226.dll and dump it into the portable firefox folder ..\Data\plugins\

Thats the software you need (at least) and then perhaps some local configuration of the browser.

Happen to be running this on a Windows Server 2012 R2 box connected to the EVA SAN.

Re: HP P6000 Command View blank Screen

This was what I have locally DVD_CV_v10.3_SS_v4.2_Windows_SSSU_Docs_T5494-11006.iso

Even think I might also have the original DVD media. None of this helps you. Sorry.

But it looks like HPE only supplying the patches now, which is kinda obvious why. All previous links hail back to the hp.com days.

Not working, how ? errors ? What OS you running browser in?

You have installed portable firefox 33 or 34 and placed the flash plugin in the directory.

Then use the browser and navigate to the URL and port for

https://name_of_SMA:2374/SPoG/

Do you get a logon page?

try the IP address instead of the name_of_SMA.

This might be down to the settings inside the Management Group.

Re: HP P6000 Command View blank Screen

Hi

finally managed to sort it, the manament gui was ok, it was when opening command view from within it wouldnt load.

What i did was use Waterfox and an old version of Flash.

Works fine after that.

Thanks
