HP P6300 disk firmware

Hello

We received a disk replacement for one of our 7.2K Large Form Factor Midline SAS drives.

The model of the "old" disks is MB2000FAMYV (firmware HPD3)  and the new one MB2000FBZPN (firmware HPD1).

1. Is it ok to have both disk models in the same disk group?

2. The attached PDF mentions firmware HPD5 for MB2000FAMYV but the bundled disk firmware download doesn't contain an image for HPD5?

Thank you

Re: HP P6300 disk firmware

It's OK to have both models in the same disk group (especially so if they have the same spare part number).

Couldn't find HPD5 with the help of this thread either:

Sud: The OP already mentioned the bundle, and MB2000FBZPN is in there, but it's only HPD3.

Maybe HPD5 firmware for that model is not publicly available for download?
