HP San visibility data collector service fails to start

Hello,

we tried to install HP San visibility v3.1,but the HPSANVisibilityDataCollector service fails to start with Windows event 7034 and we are unable to run the discovery of the san switches.

My client is XP professional 32bit service pack 3 italian, vith java runtime 6; we tried also previous versions (3.0 and 2.0), but the problem is the same.

Any idea about fixes?

I have the same problem. The dc.log of the application tells about "java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError [...] (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)" but as far I know, 49.0 is Java 5.

Maybe this will point you to the solution.
