HP StorageWorks P2000

Dear all,

I am looking for a storage solution (8TB netto) who can provide me asynchronous replication. I also read about the P2000 and configured a system with one chassis and extra shelf with 600GB SAS disks.

What do I need to provide replication between two identical systems? Is this the HP StorageWorks P2000 Remote Snap Software ? I want to create a DR for a virtual Citrix Xen Based environment.

Please let me know your experience.

Hello Kenny,

yes, the P2000 Remote Snap LTU is the right product. But you should consider, that this is only a asynchronuous replication, not a mirroring.

Ok, thanks for the quick answer.

Strange thing is I found

TA808A
HP StorageWorks 2000 Modular Smart Array Snapshot 512 Software LTU

and

TA806A
HP StorageWorks 2000 Modular Smart Array Snapshot 512 Software LTU

Do I need to buy them both? If so I guess I need 2 of each when I want to replicate between two SAN's ?

Hello Kenny,

for replication you need the

HP StorageWorks P2000 Array System Remote Snap Software LTU (TA808A)

For snapshots and volume copies the only supported LTU is

P P2000 Snapshot 512 Software LTU
TA806A

Other software LTU aren't supported with the P2000 G3.
