HP Storageworks showing weird disk size.

Hi Forum,

I just got a new HP P2000 G3 SAN with an extra Enclosure for SATA disks (model: SPS-CHASSIS)

But in my Storage Management utility my 2TB Hitachi disks show up as disk size: 18,4EB ??

Model: Hitachi HUA72202
Size: 18.4EB
Revision: A3EA

Help.. what do I do? upgrade disk firmware? and where do i get that? hmm

Did you get HP labled disks with the chassi or are these 3rd party disks (that may not be supported)?

To upgrade firmware on disks you can go to the link above and search for the model number of the disk. I tried to search with the HUA-number above but couldn't find anything.

Firmwares for disks on the link above all start with SN or HP. What is the firmware on the disks you have?

Yea it is HP labeld disks and it all came directly from HP..

I found some firmware at the link you attached but I am not sure it is the right one. it says:
HP StorageWorks P2000 2TB 3G SATA 7.2K LFF MDL Hard Drive Firmware A28G
18 Feb 2010

My SAN says mine is:
Revision A3EA

So is mine allready the newest?

It appears to me that you have a firmware that's not been released yet..

Can you create 18.4etabyte arrays/vdisks?
Or is that limited to your disks?

Quite a new product you have, maybe this is a new problem? Have you spoken with HP about this?
