Hi,
We have HP-UX 11-23 attached to EVA8K with 2 Fabrics configuration Brocade 4900. We plan to enhance the 2 fabrics by ISL it to 5300 Brocade, without changing the paths to LUNs on EVA. Attached layout.
Any idea if this might Affect the HP-UX?
Thanks

Solution
well looking at your diagrams, it seems unlikely to me that you will be changing the domain ID of these systems, and as such the FCID of the EVA isn't going to chnage, so the hardware paths of the LUNs on the HPUX box shouldn't chnage either.
So if my assumptions above are correct, then no HPUX won't be affected.

Re: HP-UX - Changing Fabric layout
As far as I can see your plan nothing will change.
I would do a vgexport of the affected VGs in *preview* mode and keep the mapfile, just in case.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
