HPCC validation fails on 2008 servers

I'm trying to add some windows servers to my HPCC collection, and every 2008 server fails.  I can add 2003 servers all day.

I have verified both firewall and UAC are disabled, and I can ping and get to the c$ share remotely from the HPCC server.

There was an older message from someone with the same problem that said it was solved, but there was no solution in the thread.

Can anyone help?

Re: HPCC validation fails on 2008 servers

I am having the same issue. I have searched the forums and found threads that say they are resolved but none have a confirmed solution in them.

Can anyone help with this.

Thanks

Brad

Re: HPCC validation fails on 2008 servers

I have just spoken with our account manager from HP and he has advised that HPCC does not support Window Server 2008.

You should be able to acheive the same results from SAN Visability.

Thanks

Brad

but that means we will not be able to collect any data using HPCC in the future, does SAN Visibilty does the same has HPCC, extract the data on XML format?

Yes, you are able to obtain the same information from SAN Visibility as you would get from HPCC.
