Hello, I've run into an issue and was hoping some of you might be able to shed some light.
I've upgraded from an EVA5000 to an EVA6400 and am now using Secure Path A3.0F SP4 in Active-Active mode rather than Active-Passive mode. When I do an ioscan I see all 8 disk paths for a single LUN rather than what I expected, which was one single (preferred) path.
When using Active-Passive with the old EVA5000 we only ever saw one path for each LUN that was presented.
The swlist I have shows:
HPswsp A.3.0F.04F.01F HP StorageWorks Secure Path Device Driver and utilities for Active-Active Disk Arrays
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Andrew.

Solution
I hope I don't mix up something here, but IMHO with this version you can use any of this 8 pathes and the multipathing is done below, invisible to you. But you should see this by using the various display commands.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HPUX 11.23 + EVA6400 (Active-Active Secure Path)
Correct. The active/active version (which is HP AutoPath) does not create a single pseudo-device. You should add all visible paths to the volume group as if you used plain PVlinks.
