Here we are managing backup by commvault. Please any one help me and provide what the parameter, steps and procedure I follow for doing this change.  Thanks in advance.

Re: How can I change ip address on HP P2000 array

The default is DHCP.

If no DHCP available, it falls back to

Management Port IP Address:
10.0.0.2 (controller A),
10.0.0.3 (controller B)
IP Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway IP Address: 10.0.0.1

If you have an unknown fixed IP set, connect via USB cable to the controllers, install the USB driver at your PC, open a serial connection and do

# set network-parameters <IP> <mask> <gateway> controller a|b

Syntax set network-parameters
[dhcp]
[ip address]
[netmask netmask]
[gateway gateway]
[controller a|b]
[ipv 4|6]
[ping-broadcast enabled|disabled|on|off]
[prompt yes|no]
[noprompt]

serial
Connector COM1 (typically)
Baud rate 115,200
Data bits 8
Parity None
Stop bits 1
Flow control None

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: How can I change ip address on HP P2000 array

Thanks Torsten,

Can I follow below steps,

To use DHCP to obtain IP values for network ports

  1. In the Configuration View panel, right-click the system and select Configuration > System Settings >
  2. Network Interfaces.
  3. Set the IP address source to DHCP.

  1. Click Apply. If the controllers successfully obtain IP values from the DHCP server, the new IP values are displayed.
  2. Record the new addresses.

  1. Sign out and try to access SMU using the new IP addresses.

To set static IP values for network ports

  1. Determine the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway values to use for each controller.

  1. In the Configuration View panel, right-click the system and select Configuration > System Settings >
  2. Network Interfaces.

  1. Set the IP address source to manual.

  1. Set the options for each controller. You must set a unique IP address for each network port.

  1. Record the IP values you assign.

  1. Click Apply.

  1. Sign out and try to access SMU using the new IP addresses.

The above step are valid or not?
