How can I get serial disk number?

How can I get serial disk number?

Hello All

I have a HPUX machine, and it have a external disk allocate on IBM DS8K.
So, I allocate five discs for this machine HP. On the machine I run the command-insf and then the disk ioscan-FnC to display the disks.
But in none of these command I can see the serial on the disc that allocates Storage.
How can I see this serial?
Thanks for all.

Re: How can I get serial disk number?

The "diskinfo -v /dev/rdsk/" will show some more information, but I don't think the serial number is included.

The HP-UX STM diagnostics (cstm/mstm/xstm) might be able to show the serial number.

Re: How can I get serial disk number?

If you have HP-UX 11.31 you can use:
scsimgr -p get_attr -a vid -a pid -a wwid -a device_file all_lun
