How to erase disks on MSA1000

I have two HP Proliant DL585 G1 servers connected to a MSA1000 SAN. The MSA1000 is fully populated with disks.

Please can anyone tell what is the best way to erase the disks on the MSA1000?

Re: How to erase disks on MSA1000

Do you mean clearing the configuration to start again, or in the sense of secure delete the disks before shipping the MSA1000 to another place?

In the first case, from ACU you can delete all LUNs and RAIDs, or clear the configuration on the controllers.

In the second case, there's no built-in secure-erase procedure. You can create a RAID and then LUNs that fully fill it, present those LUNs to a server, and secure-erase them using a software utility.

Thank you.
I wish secure delete all the data on MSA1000.
How do I create a RAID and LUNS on the MSA1000 and present it to the Server?

Re: How to erase disks on MSA1000

If you have a Windows or Linux server, you can use ACU.

If not, you can connect directly to the MSA1000 controller, and use CLI commands.

You can do something as basic as create a RAID 0 with each disk. Then mount each LUN on a server and secure erase it.
