How to fail the disks Manually in HP EVA 8000/8100 and MSA1500

Hi, As I am a new to HP products, posting this easy query. Can any one tell , how to fail the disk manually in HPEVA 8000 / 8100 and MSA1500 storages. Regards chris.

There's no way to manually fail a disk (like mdadm -f).

 

On both EVA and MSA1500 you can physically pull out the disk.

 

On the EVA you can also ungroup the disk from the disk group, but after that it's not failed, it's just unused and after the ungrouping has completed it's safe to remove it physically from the system.
