Poor performance continued until battery replaced at DR.

Can someone point me to the advisory or advise why replacing the failed battery at the remote site

resolved the problem?

Re: Indicated Virtual Disk has transitioned to Stalled Too Long

Only detail I found about this event was in this link which is to the Continuous Access Administrator Guide from 2005.

Public advisories etc can  be found here: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/kb/search/.

XCS 6240 release notes has this:

" Fixed a resource allocation issue that could result in stalled virtual disks, CSM resets, or controllerresets for "kill other" terminations"

There are improvements in the 6240 in regards to batteries on your EVA model.

Maybe there battery testing got stuck or had some kind of issue.

There is a close kb article for xcs 6110. It should be applicable to xcs 6220 as well.

Document id: c01844137. You can search for this document from www.hp.com/go/hpsc -- search knowledgebase.

Yes, there are good improvments related to battery issues & CA on XCS 6240, which you can consider upgrading to on the next available opportunity.
