Integrated Routing (Fibre Channel Fouting) on 5100 SAN switch

The brocade 5100 can be used as a FC router. We have four such switches in two fabrics (one and two) spread across two locations (less than 1km apart).

We wish to license these routers for FCR and connect them to two separate SAN islands (A and B).

That is to interconnect SAN 1 and A in locations 1 and 2

.. and interconnect SAN 2 and B in locations 1 and 2.

This is the essence of the design. Simple question is is it valid? I believed it so, but would be most grateful of others views who've implemented Fibre Channel Routing in a Brocade environment.

My concerns are around using the 5100s which are existing SAN switches in Fabrics 1 and 2 and....

..the fact that we're making two interconnects to the same fabrics (ie 1 to A and 2 to B) in two locations (ie our two data centers). Will this cause routing issues ?

thanks john
