Is EVA 4400 AutoFailOver Possible?
Hello, I currently have 2x EVA 4400 SAN one as production and the other as DR.
Am using CA to replicate LUNS across SANS and using Business Copy to get snapshots on the DR SAN.
In the event that my production SAN goes down/offline, is it possible to set auto failover on the DR SAN so that servers dont loose storage access?

Re: Is EVA 4400 AutoFailOver Possible?
Hi.
You need "HP StorageWorks EVA Cluster Extension Software"
(https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=CLXEVA) to realize automatic failover of application services.

Re: Is EVA 4400 Outfielder Possible?
Hi,
I would like to find out why is my EVA's thin provisioning option grayed out with 'disabled' when I create a LUN. How can I enable thin provisioning ?

Re: Is EVA 4400 Outfielder Possible?
Hi
Thin provisioning is enabled from XCS 10000000 but you need to install a license which is free the procedure is in command view documentation
Upgrading an EV Ax400 license for thin
provisioning
T o obtain a thin provisioning license from Software
Depot:
1 . Go to http://www .software.hp .com/kiosk.
2. When prompted, enter the following credentials:
• User name:
COMMANDVIEW_THP_LTU_KIOSK
• Password: Thp_LTUs
3. Click HP Thin Provisioning Keys for x400 Arrays.
The Product details & specification page opens.
4. Select the license key associated with your array
model.
But when you use thin provisioning you can not use snapshots or replication that is you loose CA and BC
so it's not much good
Regards
