LUN given to me in decimal, how to convert to LDEV format

Hi,

I have LUNs zoned to my unix system. The problem is that they were given to me in decimal format and I need to convert them to CU:LDEV format (IE: 09:AE).
Here is an example of one of the CU:LDEVs they gave me 0.41875
whatever

Re: LUN given to me in decimal, how to convert to LDEV format

As a math calculation like

CU:LDEV=0.41875 ???

Then they need to learn about excel!

This information is useless.

You need something like 00:12 or something, then you can use xpinfo on the server side.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Yes....but even if they gave me say 999, I can calculate that to be 03:E7. But they gave us 0.41875 and 0.422916667, etc.
whatever

Do you know excel???

If the cell has no "text" format, this application will do the calculation.

Use NOTEPAD or learn excel!

Hope this helps!
