LUN paths removed, ioscan -P health show limited, how to fix?

Our storage team has reconfigured the SAN and has removed some of the paths to each LUN. If I do an ioscan -P health -C disk some of the disks show a health of limited and scsi_mgr shows a status of FAILED for the removed paths. Is there any way other than a reboot to rescan everything so that the limited and FAILED messages are removed.

Reboot is the only way as per my past experience.
