Licenseing Question

Hello,
Can anyone give me an idea on the following? I have EVA 6400 & 5000 in place with CV licenses.
I want to replace my 5000 with a spare 4400.
Is there additional licensing required for this move?

Re: Licenseing Question

Licenses are locked against the system's World Wide Node Name (WWNN), so the EVA-4400 will need its own license. Well, there are also different licenses for different EVA models - I don't think the 4400 will accept a 5000 license, even if it was more expensive and you try to use the 5000's WWNN.

Re: Licenseing Question

Hi,
I'm with Uve on this one.
You will need to sort out your licences for the EVA4400 and better to do it first!
You may be able to trade in your old licences for the 5000 but you would need to check with HP about that one. Check out the webware site as this may help you:
