Linux/Multipath/MSA2000
Hi,
Is there a quick start guide for setting up a two node cluster with Linux, Multipath and MSA2000fc.
In the past there were such guides for the MSA500, particuarly when it was sold as a packaged cluster.
Thanks
john

Re: Linux/Multipath/MSA2000
Hello John,
I don't know any QSG for such a configuration. "High Availability" infer "Quick Start".
You need to present volumes to both linux hosts. You can use Qlogic Multipathing driver to eliminate redundant paths.
What cluster software do you want to use?
Best regards,
Patrick

Re: Linux/Multipath/MSA2000
Hi,
We are installing Oracle RAC 10gR2 with OCFS as the cluster file system.
There are two DL380s connected to 2 SAN switches connected to a MSA2000fc G2 with dual controllors.
We are migrating from a MSA500 High Availability (DL380 packaged cluster), so I was looking for the simplest possible solution to recreate what I had with the MSA500.

Re: Linux/Multipath/MSA2000
Hello John,
you need to present the volumes to all cluster nodes. Just present it to the first node and create the filesystems. If you're knowing Ora RAC, take this quick reference.
http://www.dbspecialists.com/files/presentations/rac_quick_reference.html
Even if it's a cluster and all nodes need to see als resources:
- set up a poper zoning with one initiator and one taget (single HBA centric zoning)
- setup presentations on the MSA for each host
Best regards,
Patrick
