MPX200 FCIP License Issue

Hi All,

We have generated a license key using the following product:

Description:       HP MPX200 FULL CHASSIS FCIP LICENSE

Product No:        TA767A

I have used MPX chassis Serial number while generating the license key but the license key received is not working. Please find the attached screenshot and  advice.

Hi Khurram,

The solution could be very easy: as stated in the User Guide the license has to be generated on the Blade serial number and NOT the chassis serial number.

The thus generated license key should then be installed to the blade of which the serial number was used from.  When a second blade is also installed and the license is a Full Chassis License (in opposite to a half chassis license) it will be shared within the chassis.

Go back to HP Licensing and explain the issue that the license was generated on the wrong serial number. Usually they should help you by generating a new license. Else open a call with HP Support to assist you doing the same.

You should use the blade serial number for the license.
