MSA 1000 to EVA4000 Migrate

Hello All,

We have an MSA 1000 with some disks and an EVA 4000. The plan is to move the MSA disks to the EVA. Is it possible to migrate the disks from the MSA to the EVA without reinstallation? Is there any migration docs available?

Please share your views.

You can not use MSA disks in an EVA. They just will not work as they are 2 different formats (SCIS interface vs. Fibre Interface)

All you can do is move the data.

Not Possible , Migrating between EVA4K to 6k or 8k is possible.

Hi
There is a new (Nov-09) product called an MPX200 that you can use for data migration between FC devices.
As stated by the previous noters you are not able to transfer physical disks between MSA and EVA.
