MSA 2000 - unable to connect via HTTP / web interface

Hi

I have an MSA 2000 and I cannot connect to it via my browser. Just get an unable to load page message. I can, however, telnet onto it.

Is there any way the HTTP channels can be cleared or do I need to reboot the thing?

Many thanks

Re: MSA 2000 - unable to connect via HTTP / web interface

David,

If seen this happen far too often on the MSA2000 family. It is something that alot of customers complain about. So far the only thing I know that works is restarting the controllers. Make sure you restart them one at a time.

restart mc a <-- restarts controller a
restart mc b <-- restarts controller b

If the restart does not work, then we may need to reseat both the controllers.

Use telnet to connect to each controller to restart the other controller.

I can only agree. The management of this SAN is terrible. Have to refresh/ reload pages almost everytime.

(using IE 8. not even possible in Firefox)

Re: MSA 2000 - unable to connect via HTTP / web interface

I am not able to pass the MC aborted error. Next step, I am going to raise a HP ticket.

# restart mc a
During the restart process you will briefly lose communication with the specifi.
Continue?
Info: Restart MC aborted.

Success: Command completed successfully

Thanks
