MSA 2012i vdisk raid5 vs raid50 and chunk size
I have an msa2012i. I have 3 additional shelves of disks too. All disks are 300GB 15k spin speed.
What's the benefits of using RAID50 over RAID5? I'll be running vmware - mixed read / write IO.
Also - what's the right chunk size to set?
I'm figuring I'll create two vdisks - one for either controller to split the IO between controllers.
Thanks

Re: MSA 2012i vdisk raid5 vs raid50 and chunk size
Just to add to this - what about RAID10 vs RAID50?
